Kuwa Village is a village situated in Janakpur. The village is very near to airport. Large number of traditional houses made up of muds can be seen. The people in this village are very simple and most of them are farmers. Men go to farm their fields in the day time and women do household works. Maithili society is said to be a male dominated society. Women were not allowed to work outside in past. But today because of the support and encouragement done by JWDC , JHC women have dared to come out and are able to be self depended. Now they are able to give better life to their children and families.

Hel Seema,
ReplyDeleteI just found your post about Kuwa village. Is this where you live? It sounds like a beautiful place!
How old are you? Did you write this for a school project?
My friend Beth and I are going to visit Nepl in January. I am always looking to learn more about Nepal and Nepalese people. I found Kuwa because we are artists and art teachers. We are interested in the paper made in Kuwal. Can you tell me about it?
I am so happy that you wrote this article. You did a great job!
